Information Economy Advisory Board (IEAB)

The IEAB's role is to provide advice to the Minister for Science and Information Economy on the potential benefits of the information economy to the State and on how to maximise these benefits.

The IEAB was established by the Minister for Science and Information Economy in February 2003.

Membership of the IEAB brings together prominent individuals from community, industry, research and government sectors.

The IEAB meets approximately quarterly and works closely with the Information Economy Directorate in DFEEST to ensure that the advice provided to the Minister by both bodies is consistent and considered.
