2004 - Current

eBizSA is a support program designed to encourage and guide SMEs in the effective use of the Internet in their business. The program raises awareness of the benefits of e-business, increases the use of e-business by exporters and fosters innovation in the use of the internet to increase competitiveness.

  1. Exporters: The “E-Business for Exporters” funding program is aimed at supporting emerging and existing exporters to more effectively use the Internet to increase exports.
  2. Small to Medium Sized Enterprises: Raising awareness and supporting SMEs effectively implement online technologies to help them compete in the global economy.  The Collaborative E-Business Fund, a $50,000 dollar-for-dollar fund to support SMEs collaborating to order to take advantage of emerging online technologies. Examples include supply chain integration, e-procurement networks, logistics networks, online reservation systems in the tourism sector, accessing innovative software applications in the manufacturing sector, accessing high speed simulation technologies etc.
  3. ICT Industry: Development of programs to enhance trust and collaboration between the ICT sector and the business community. A program currently being deployed allows for post graduate students to work with SME businesses to help develop and implement ICT and e-business solutions
