Brief Rules and Conditions

  1. Each entry must be original and must not contain any copyrighted material belonging to another person. 
  2. The artwork must relate to all or any of the themes of ‘customs, beliefs and imaginings’ and should promote cross-generational or cross cultural understanding.
  3. The work is to be created using digital equipment such as digital photography, photo manipulation, animation, digital story telling, short film, multimedia displays/installations. 
  4. Short film, video, animation and digital story entries are to be no longer than 3 minutes in length.  Video must be playable in Windows Media Player 10 or QuickTime 7 without additional plug-ins or codecs. 
  5. Digital photographs and other still images must be submitted in .jpeg, .tiff or .png formats with a minimum resolution of 1754x1240. 
  6. The work must be submitted in CD-Rom or DVD format (with the name, address and phone number of the entrant clearly labelled) and should be playable on a standard computer without the need for specialised software.
  7. Entries are submitted with the understanding that copyright of ALL entries will belong to Department of Further Education, Employment and Science and Technology. DFEEST may use the entries in part or whole in any promotional or educational material
  8. Entrants may submit a 50 word description of their work which may be included in the catalogue for the Exhibition and/or displayed with the work at the Exhibition.
  9. Submission of an entry does not guarantee that the entry will be exhibited in the Exhibition.
  10. Please read the attached terms and conditions before sending in your entry.  Part A  Rules and Conditionsof Entry apply to all entrants. 
  11. Part B Rules and Conditions of Entry only apply to competition entrants.
