Computer Technologies for Schools Project 

Computer recyclingThe Computer Technologies for Schools Project provides surplus Australian Government ICT equipment to schools across Australia to enable students and teachers to better understand new technologies.

Who is eligible?

Schools across Australia, including state, independent and catholic schools.

(This program is not suited to individuals seeking a refurbished computer).

What can I receive through the program?

Standard recycled computers and printers. 

What will it cost me?

A small fee of around $50 to $200 per computer.

How do I apply?

Schools who wish to receive computers under the Computer Technologies for Schools Project must contact their State or Territory contact officer.

The Computer Technologies for Schools Project Steering Committees in each State and Territory will assess the applications and forward them on to the National Project Manager to organise distribution of equipment.

What waiting time should I expect?

The waiting time for a PC is currently around two weeks.

Is training and support available?

No.

How do I donate Hardware?

The Computer Technologies for Schools Project accepts donated computers from Australian Government agencies and organisations within the private sector.  If you would like to donate to the program please contact the National Project Manager:
